Forthcoming Shows

BERLIN: Mississippi Blues & Barbecue, July 26 and 27, Kulturbrauerei Kesselhaus

For the last thirteen years the Mississippi Blues Night has had a reputation as part of the Köpenick Jazz and Blues Festival; a show mostly designed for the fans of Old Time Jazz since 1995 that easily filled the yard of the Köpenick Rathaus. This year, however, for the first time the Mississippi Blues shows will take place at the Kesselhaus in the famous Berlin Kulturbrauerei.

On July 26 and 27 there will be authentic American barbeque in the vast yard of the Kulturbrauerei, there is no admission for the barbeque which starts at 5 p.m. Several bands will perform acoustic blues in the yard as part of the Mississippi Blues & Barbecue.

Later, at around 8 p.m. on Saturday and 7 p.m. on Sunday, tickets for the shows inside the Kesselhaus are necessary. They go for EUR 24 online and for 28 at the Kesselhaus.

You can buy your advance ticket here.

There will be quite an international lineup.
You can watch Matej Ptaszek (Czech Republic), Romek Puchowski (Poland), Have Mercy Reunion (US/UK first Berlin gig in 30 years), Minnie Marks (Australia). As well as many others: Henry Heggen, Brian Barnett, Peter Crow C., Ferdi Krämer, Black Kat & Kittens and Crazy Hambones.

Mind you: There is NO exact schedule for Saturday or Sunday, which means that you may want to see a particular band on Saturday, but they will only perform on Sunday or the other way around. This is actually intended by the organizer Micha Maass, who wants to create authentic atmosphere with session features and spontaneous participation.
